"I spent four really great years at Ipswich School of Art, graduating in 1981 as a licentiate member of the Society of Industrial Artists and Designers.
Since then I've had a real love for painting in the Suffolk countryside.  I'm inspired by nature's seasonal changes, the sea and coastline with all it's moods
and our diverse local landscapes.  I'm always attracted to Suffolk skies which are justly famous for being huge, and I never tire of painting them,
especially when they are wild and dramatic.
My work is semi-abstract, expressionistic, colourful and highly textured.  I paint in oils and acrylics, using a painting knife, slowly building layers,
to create texture and depth.  I like to create a fluidity and simplicity to let the colour and texture speak."
