Pia Zocca was born in Italy and studied art at the Scuola dell'Arte, Verona.
She has lived and worked in many countries and has been inspired by the cultures and landscapes of Italy, Brazil,
USA and South Africa.
Norfolk is now her latest home.
In her artistic creativity she explores unlikely combinations and experiments with different media but Glass is
what she finds most fulfilling. This preference stems from her attraction not only to the amazing colours, but
also to the different possible textures of Glass and related material.
Pia uses the medium to create sculptures that are reminiscent of buildings and towers with an organic feeling.
A marriage of contrasts, light and darkness - ancient and modern, ensues.
The paradox of something so timeless yet fragile like Glass is her greatest inspiration.
